You split me, tore my heart
\nopen, filled me with love.
\nYou poured your spirit into me;
\nI knew you as I know myself.<\/p>\n
Speaking waters touched me
\nfrom your fountain, the source of all life.
\nI swallowed them and was drunk
\nwith the water that never dies.<\/p>\n
And my drunkenness was insight,
\nintimacy with your spirit.
\nAnd you have made all things new;
\nyou have showed me all things shining.
\nYou have granted me perfect ease;
\nI have become like Paradise,
\na garden whose fruit is joy;
\nand you are the sun upon me.<\/p>\n
My eyes are radiant with your spirit;
\nmy nostrils fill with your fragrance.
\nMy ears delight in your music,
\nand my face is covered with your dew.<\/p>\n
Blessed are the men and women
\nwho are planted on your earth, in your garden,
\nwho grow as your trees and flowers grow,
\nwho transform their darkness to light.<\/p>\n
Their roots plunge into darkness;
\ntheir faces turn toward the light.<\/p>\n
And those who love you are beautiful;
\nthey overflow with your presence
\nso that they can do nothing but good.<\/p>\n
There is infinite space in your garden;
\nall men, all women are welcome here;
\nall they need do
\nis enter.<\/p>\n
