Prayer of Peace<\/strong><\/p>\n

I offer this prayer of peace<\/strong>
\nNot to the Christian God<\/strong>
\nNor to the Buddhist God<\/strong>
\nNor to the Islamic God<\/strong>
\nNor to the Jewish God<\/strong>
\nBut to the God of all humanity<\/strong><\/p>\n

For the peace that we wish for<\/strong>
\nIs not a Christian peace<\/strong>
\nNor a Buddhist peace<\/strong>
\nNor an Islamic peace<\/strong>
\nNor a Jewish peace<\/strong>
\nBut a human peace<\/strong>
\nFor all of us.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I offer this prayer of peace<\/strong>
\nTo the God that lives within all of us<\/strong>
\nThat fills us with happiness and joy<\/strong>
\nTo make us whole<\/strong>
\nAnd help us understand life<\/strong>
\nAs an expression of love for all human beings<\/strong><\/p>\n

For no religion can be better<\/strong>
\nThan any other religion<\/strong>
\nFor no truth can be truer<\/strong>
\nThan any other truth<\/strong>
\nFor no nation can be bigger<\/strong>
\nThan the earth itself.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Help us all go beyond<\/strong>
\nOur small limits<\/strong>
\nAnd realize that we are one<\/strong>
\nThat we are all from the earth.<\/strong>
\nThat we are all earth people<\/strong>
\nbefore we are Indians, Koreans, or Americans<\/strong><\/p>\n

God made the earth<\/strong>
\nWe humans have to make it prosper<\/strong>
\nBy realizing that we are of the earth<\/strong>
\nAnd not of any nation, race, or religion.<\/strong>
\nBy knowing that we are truly one<\/strong>
\nIn our spiritual heritage.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Let us now apologize<\/strong>
\nto all humanity<\/strong>
\nFor the hurt that religions have caused<\/strong>
\nSo that we can heal the hurt<\/strong>
\nLet us now promise to one another<\/strong>
\nTo go beyond egotism and competition<\/strong>
\nTo come together as one in God.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I offer this prayer of peace<\/strong>
\nTo you the Almighty<\/strong>
\nTo help us find You within all of us<\/strong>
\nSo that we may stand proudly one day before You<\/strong>
\nAs one humanity.<\/strong><\/p>\n

I offer this prayer of peace<\/strong>
\nWith all my fellow earth people<\/strong>
\nFor a lasting peace on earth.<\/strong><\/p>\n
